Sophie’s Light was created in memory of Sophie, a beloved dog lost to hemangiosarcoma. Our mission is to shine a light on this aggressive and often silent cancer by increasing awareness, supporting research, and advocating for earlier detection and better outcomes. Through storytelling, community fundraising, and meaningful partnerships, Sophie’s Light raises funds that directly support hemangiosarcoma research at the University of Minnesota Project Shine On—so that future dogs and families may have more time, more answers, and more hope.
